Sayako Hirakimoto studied at Kyoto Institute of Technology (Kyoto, JP) Diploma in 2012 and the Accademia di Architettura (Mendrisio, CH) Diploma in 2014.
She worked as an architect at Miller & Maranta (Basel, CH) from 2014 to 2018 and as a teaching assistant at the Accademia di Architettura under Prof. Quintus Miller from 2018 to 2019, and with Prof. Johan Arrhov from 2021 to 2022. In 2019, she co-founded the studio pollihirakimoto with arch. Nicolas Polli in Lugano.
In addition to her architectural design work at the studio, she conducts lectures about living culture in Japan and provides consultations for trips from an architect's perspective, with a focus on local culture, art, food, and architecture.
